Utah Shakespearean Festival
Each summer in Cedar City, a replica of the Globe Theatre comes to life with the plays of the most famous author in the English language. People come from all over the world to see William Shakespeare's comedies and tragedies at the Utah Shakespearean Festival.

The festival is held on the campus of Southern Utah University. Three Shakespearean classics and three modern plays are held in repertory each season. Famous contemporary playwrights such as Tennessee Williams, Thornton Wilder, George Bernard Shaw, Arthur Miller, George S. Kaufman, and Edna Ferber are featured. The six plays are divided between two theatres - the Randall L. Jones Theatre and the outdoor Adams Shakespearean Theatre.

In addition to the professional performances, the Utah Shakespearean Festival offers Royal Feastes, Greenshows, and backstage tours.

The Grand Circle: A National Park Odyssey

The beauty and history of eight national parks and seven national monuments comes to life before your eyes at the multimedia production called The Grand Circle: A National Park Odyssey. The outdoor production is held at the O.C.Tanner Amphitheater in Springdale. With the cliffs of Zion National Park in the background, the amphitheater's 24 x 40 foot screen lights up with the grandeur of our nation's most spectacular places of beauty. You won't want to miss this magnificent display of nature. Productions are held at dusk from late May through early September. Tickets are available at the gate. UTAH! - America's Most Spectacular Outdoor Musical Drama

Crashing lightning bolts, raging floods, cascading waterfalls and howling coyotes may seem real, but they're actually some of the special effects of UTAH! - America's most spectacular outdoor musical drama. The epic tale is a feast of color, music, dancing and drama which captures the struggles and celebrations of Utah's early explorers and settlers.

UTAH! premieres in June 1995 with 64 performances planned each summer. It has been designated an official Centennial event for the state's 100th birthday in 1996.

Treasure of the Gods

You won't want to miss Treasure of the Gods at the new Zion Canyon Cinemax Theatre in Springdale. The large screen film shows the beauty, adventure, excitement and magic of Zion National Park. The 37-minute film takes you through terrifying flash floods and on rock climbing expeditions where you'll hang from your fingertips 2,000 feet above the earth.

The film is shown on one of the largest movie screens in the world. It's 6 stories high by 80 feet wide - eight times larger than a conventional screen. The film is shown hourly 365 days a year.
