However, what exactly is VoIP? It is a technology that allows users to make calls or other forms of communications through the internet instead of a traditional line. This is a way to make your communication even faster, whether that is for your house or business.
InfoWest offers on-site installation available to all customers. However, installing the InfoWest Voice Telephone Adapter can be completed in three simple steps:
- Connect the included RJ45 network cable from the adapter’s Internet port (Blue) to an available LAN port on your Internet router or gateway.
- A LAN Port is a socket used to connect devices to the internet.Â
- Connect your telephone to the green port on the adapter using a standard RJ11 cable.Â
- Connect the included power cable to the adapter.Â
The adapter will power up, download the configuration, and should have the Power, Internet, and Telephone lights will light up when ready. Once this occurs, make a call to confirm it is now working.
