Cheryl cooks authentic Jamaican food, and she wanted a local Internet company to match. Before she signed up, she had one question.

“The first thing I asked when I called InfoWest was, ‘are you local?’” said Cheryl.

Papa’s Got Jerk is the first Jamaican restaurant in St. George, and the first West Indies kitchen in Southern Utah. Cheryl ran a catering company for years before opening the brick-and-mortar in 2019 to bring more culture to the area. She’s known for jerk chicken, jerk pork, curry chicken, and oxtail.

Her connection does more than run the register. Cheryl uses InfoWest to process payments and to stream the music that turns a desert storefront into a slice of the islands.

“People from all over eat here and many say it’s the best Jamaican food they’ve had.”

Find Papa’s Got Jerk at The Shoppes at Zion, 250 Red Cliffs Drive, Ste. 16B, Monday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
