What this plan handles

Two TVs streaming, every phone browsing, a video call with the grandkids — all at once.

Essential is sized to what a lighter household uses on its busiest night. You can't use more than that, so why pay for it?

  • Stream HD on 2 TVs at once, or 4K on 1 (HD uses ~5–8 Mbps, 4K about 25 Mbps)
  • Video-chat the grandkids while a show plays in the other room
  • Keep every phone and tablet in the house browsing at full speed

Essential is built for a lighter household — a couple of streams, some browsing, a video call with family. On a busy night that adds up to about 22 Mbps, well under the 50 Mbps you start with. Other providers sell a giant number and let the whole neighborhood fight over it at 7 PM. We limit how many homes share each tower, so evenings stay close to midday speeds.

"A lot of customers switch over from a 300 or 500 meg plan and experience less buffering on our 100 — because we don't overcrowd our towers."

How much speed does your house need?

The honest speed

Starts at 50 Mbps — delivered

Fiber up to 100 Mbps where available · FiberWave 50 Mbps · wireless 50 Mbps, all depending on your address.

An HD stream uses ~5–8 Mbps and a 4K stream about 25 Mbps, so even the starting speed runs your whole evening with room to spare.

We confirm your options when you check your address, and your exact speed at install.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about the InfoWest Essential plan.

Do I really need fast Internet if I just browse and email?
Not necessarily. Essential starts at 50 Mbps, which handles email, web browsing, video calls with family, and streaming Netflix or YouTube without issues. You need more speed only if many people or devices are online at once.
Are there any contracts or cancellation fees?
No contracts. Every residential plan is month-to-month, with no early termination fees and no hidden charges. Business service is available month-to-month or on a term that lowers the rate. We've operated this way since 1994 because customers stay when they like us.
What is included in the Essential plan?
Your plan includes the Internet connection, a WiFi router, network security, the WiFi management app, guest WiFi, and local tech support, all in one monthly price with no surprise fees.
Can I call a real person if I need help?
Absolutely. Our Southern Utah team answers during the day. After 10 PM, our overnight team picks up, so you reach a person at any hour, never an outside call center. Call (435) 674-0165 and you'll reach a real person, not a phone tree. We also have a local office at 435 E Tabernacle St in St. George.
Why does streaming feel smoother with InfoWest?
Unlike most ISPs that route traffic through Salt Lake City or out of state, InfoWest has content servers right here in St. George. Streaming travels a shorter distance: less buffering, faster load times, a smoother experience.
Will my price increase after a few months?
Right now, new customers pay $35/mo for their first 6 months on any plan. From month 7 you pay the plan's regular price, $45/mo for Essential Core. We tell you both prices before you sign up.
How long does installation take?
We schedule most installs within the same week. A wireless install takes one visit of about two hours; fiber takes three visits. Your technician handles the equipment, cabling, router placement, and speed check, and tests every connection before leaving. Installation and equipment are included.
